I’ve uploaded a set of fireworks photos to flickr. I took the pictures Friday night at Lake Oconee. Here’s my favorite. Enjoy!

More Wyoming Pictures

More Wyoming Pictures are now on my Flickr account.

So far, I think this one is my favorite:

This was taken a few miles into the Death Canyon hike, just before you reach the pass that enters the canyon.

I’ve grouped all the photos from last week into a set on Flickr.

Grand Teton National Park Picture[s]

Just returned late last night from Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park. I’ve got about 3.6 gigs of photos to process and upload, but not much time to do it. I’ll be posting the photos to my flickr account as I have time to do it (probably about one per day for the next year). In the mean time, here’s a teaser:

Atlanta Zoo Pictures

June 4, 2007 · Filed Under atlanta, photography · Comment

I’ve uploaded a set of pictures from a trip Saturday to the Atlanta Zoo.

One of the pandas got out and posed for a picture with Jacob.

Speaking of Pandas, Miss China 2007 was at the Zoo doing some PR with the Pandas. (I don’t think I’ve ever said “speaking of Pandas” before).

Finally, can you guess what animal this is?

Full Set. Enjoy.

Cloudland Canyon State Park Hiking

May 23, 2007 · Filed Under hiking, photography · Comment

WaterfallOn Saturday I drove up to Cloudland Canyon State Park. Cloudland Canyon is a very popular park about two hours north of Atlanta. The park features backcountry camping, and drive-in camping, as well as several lodges for large group activities.

According to the website, “hardy visitors” can hike down to the bottom of the canyon. Down at the bottom, you’ll see two waterfalls. I think they’re called waterfall 1 and waterfall 2. On Saturday, the coolest thing I saw was a hawk who was flying in circles above me while I ate lunch on the the north rim of the canyon.

Here are some pictures.

Update: Here’s a panorama view of the canyon that I stitched together from four separate pictures.

Getting Caught Up

Tomorrow it will be FOUR MONTHS since I have posted pictures to this website. Lame.

In an attempt to rectify the recent lack of activity (as if I were a blogging machine before), I’m going to post several sets of pictures tonight. Here’s the first of the batch: a set of a shots taken back in January. Included in the set are a few pictures that I shot in RAW and transformed into pseudo-HDR (High Dynamic Range) images. They’re all single-exposure shots that I HDR’d using Photomatix. Here’s a good one of Kate:
