Jacob and Kate sharing the Mandolin together
Took this pic last night of Jacob and Kate playing with my mandolin together.
There’s a few more of flickr. If you can’t see them, send tfdavis a Friend invite on flickr and I’ll add you to my contacts list.
Video of Kate Crawling
She’s been threatening to get mobile for a few weeks now. On Thursday of last week, she finally did it. Yep. That’s right. Just put her on the floor a few feet away from a Lovey or a Baby Tad, and that sweet little Kate transforms into a moving machine — 19 pounds of cool cooing crawling cuteness.
Here she is… in THE ZONE!
Time to go baby-proofing.
A few pictures from May
Grandma’s 82nd birthday, and … well … not much more.
Baby Kate Arrives!
Thursday evening, Kelly, Jacob and I went to Scalinis so that Kelly could get some Eggplant Parmesan. Friday morning, we went to the doctor for a previously scheduled appointment. The doc said to head straight on over to the hospital to have the baby.
We checked into the hospital at noon, and Baby Kate was born at 2:32 pm. (If you’re keeping score at home, that adds up to an intense two hours and thirty-two minutes. Yowzas.) So, yes, the Eggplant Parmesan did its job.
Since then, Kate has been sleeping a lot and looking cute.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Height: 20.5 inches.
- Weight: 8 lbs 1 ounce.
- Hair: black, fuzzy.
- Fingernails: Long.
- Face: round, cute; alleged (but unconfirmed) dimple sightings.
- Pictures.
Mom, Dad, big brother Jacob and Baby Kate are all doing great!
More Jacob on Mandolin
Check out Jacob’s first music video.
Update for people who can’t play the video: if the video doesn’t play for you, then “right click” on the video, then select “Save Target As”. Then you will save the video to your desktop, and you should be able to play it from there.
Pickin and Grinnin
Jacob meet mandolin. Mandolin meet Jacob.
Today Jacob got to play around with the “little guitar.” As you can see in this picture, he sure puts his heart and soul into his music. His technique is a little unorthodox — he may more well-suited for dobro. Look out Jerry Douglas.
Jacob is two, too!
Believe it or not, Jacob turned two last week! We celebrated with the family on Saturday. Jacob had a great time. He received some furniture, a new car, and some hypoallergenic cake!
