Yosemite Trip (not really in Yosemite any more): Day 6

October 8, 2005 · Filed Under photography, travel, yosemite

We woke up this morning in our lovely room at the Wawona. As with all things Wawona, the breakfast did not disappoint. After eating more than our share of the buffet, we headed out of Yosemite, across the central valley, and over towards Monterey Bay.

Our first stop was in Capitola at the original O’Neill surf shop. After selecting some phat threads for Jacob, we continued with the surf theme and headed over to Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz to watch some surfing. For all of our landlocked friends and relatives out there, let me tell you, this is really cool to watch.

Just for old time’s sake, we stopped by Mount Hermon and Ponderosa Lodge where we were camp counselors in 1997.

Now, we’re in our hotel in San Jose. All set with a 4:15 wake-up call that will begin the long travel day back to Atlanta tomorrow.

Today’s pics.

As Jacob would say, “ni-night.”
